University Guidance Counsellor

To assist our students in selecting their career paths and choices beyond formal, secondary schooling, ISB has a dedicated University Guidance Counsellor, who offers both career counselling and assistance in choosing the correct university or college to match their achievements and aspirations.

This begins formally in Grade 10, and Grades 11 and 12 for late arrivals, with Step One testing. We are also able to offer SAT testing, as a CollegeBoard approved testing provider, for those wishing to attend USA universities and colleges.

In preparation for post ISB career paths and choices our students receive classroom guidance in the process of seeking employment, emphasising both submitting applications and interview techniques; with formal 'mock' interviews conducted by supportive local employers. Our Guidance Counsellor also offers knowledgeable and informed assistance in not only choosing the appropriate placement, but also submitting university and college applications world wide, including preparing the important personal statement.

Our overall philosophy is not only to ensure that our students maximise their academic potential, but also to ensure that they have access to the information needed to make an informed post ISB choice and the practical preparation to follow it through.
