All i want to say with this quote is that you need some time to adapt to changes and face a lot of different cultural and household things in school/boarding life, because it differs from what you learned at home.

You make strong friendships and learn to be independent. Sometimes you might miss your family, but you get used to it. Classes are nearby, so no long commutes. Weekends are exciting with activities and outings. Boarding school teaches responsibility and prepares you for life ahead. It's a unique experience that shapes you for the better.

Boarding is an interesting experience. It was quite stressful and confusing at first, but later I got used to it. A bit strange living alone, but it’s surprisingly not as emotionally taxing as I thought it might be. As far as I found out, you make it yourself either a good or a bad experience.

This is my first year in boarding, and it is indeed an experience. I have been to international schools before and there are no unknowns in that part, but boarding is something that I have for the first time explored and enjoyed. It teaches you on self-independence and on how to sustain yourself. I have learned the hardship of keeping even this little place tidy, and I can't even start to imagine the work my parents have done all these years. You learn to appreciate the work that I personally was able to avoid. Another thing that I find very useful is to acquire the social skills on how to live with each other, and respect all the members of your community equally. You might like someone more, but the level of respect needs to be moderated. This knowledge will not only be useful now, but in the future also. We are all here, in the same situation, with our parents away, and unless we learn from one another and have mutual respect, we would not function as a community. This applies later in life, and I will cherish this information and skill that I have obtained and developed.

Through my first year of boarding, I experienced unprecedented growth and fun. Boarding life taught me to be independent and self-reliant. I realized how hard it is to keep your living environment tidy. Here, I not only learned social skills, but also learned how to live in harmony with others and respect every community member equally.

For me the boarding life was a brand new experience since it was my first year here. I highly appreciate all the knowledge and thoughts brought by such a wide communal congregation of various people. Everyone here is unique in some sense. While going through a daily routine one definitely understands other people better, and, thus, such a uniqueness is being transformed to become a foundation for the respect towards others and yourself. Worth mentioning, that the boarding staff is also not an outer force setting rules and regulations. Quite opposite, it is an extremely important internal component which always endeavours to assist (even if at first one does not perceive with what). This is a very pleasant atmosphere for learning and inquiring about the world. This is a great mechanism, set for one to develop and comprehend. As mentioned earlier, I personally appreciate this opportunity a lot and express my sincere hope that I am myself an enjoyable neighbour and participant for the others and, if so, will always be.

Even though it was not my first boarding experience, I was really surprised with how friendly the staff and students are. And I am satisfied with the boarding conditions.

My experience in boarding has been lovely. Boarding has been a perfect introduction to university life, encouraging academic excellence as well as simulating independent living. I have found a family in the boarding, especially with the caring staff and equally friendly students.

My 2 years journey of living in ISB boarding has been an adventure filled with unforgettable memories. It has taught me how important it is to manage my own time, keep my environment clean, and most importantly boosted my self-independence skills. Living alone with friends on the same floor is an experience I wish everyone could undergo. The staff members in the ISB boarding are awesome, they become the people you trust and confide in the most while living in ISB boarding, they’ll make sure you are always looked after. For me sport was a very important part of my routine, and that wasn’t neglected here, I have continued playing tennis and even learned to play a new sport called touch-rugby. ISB boarding became my second home where I became a part of a community where I could be myself and enjoy my time here. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity given to me by my parents to experience living in a boarding school like ISB.

Since I am new to the boarding life at the ISB I can compare this to the boarding life in England, and my conclusion to this is that the boarding life at the ISB . I value the wealth of information and perspectives that such a diverse group of people has to offer. Everybody here is different in some way. Daily living undoubtedly deepens one's understanding of other people, and as a result, one's uniqueness is transformed into the basis for respect for both other people and oneself. It's important to note that the boarding staff does not operate as an outside authority enforcing laws and regulations. On the other hand, it is a crucial internal component that always tries to help, even though first it is unclear how. This is a great environment for learning and asking questions regarding the globe. This is an excellent system that takes time to learn and understand. As previously stated, I sincerely hope that I am a pleasant neighbour and participant for others, and if I am, I will always be grateful for this opportunity.
