HOLISTIC & COMPREHENSIVE CURRICULUM
The IBDP at ISB spans six subject groups, with students selecting three Higher Level (HL) and three Standard Level (SL) subjects. The curriculum also includes the Core components: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS). This structure ensures students develop a deep understanding of their chosen subjects while cultivating critical thinking and research skills through the TOK and EE. The CAS component encourages personal growth and community engagement, promoting a balanced lifestyle.
FULL RECOGNITION IN GERMANY
The IBDP is fully recognized as a university entrance qualification in Germany, meeting all requirements set by the Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK). Students must complete the program over at least twelve consecutive years of schooling, including two languages (with at least one continued foreign language at Language A or B HL level), a science subject, mathematics, and a social science subject. The IBDP must be completed with a minimum of 24 points, with at least grade 4 in each of the six subjects. This recognition ensures that our graduates can seamlessly transition to German universities, equipped with a globally respected qualification.
